Passport Accounts

An account is a customer’s personal wallet within the Passport system. It empowers the customer to collect, store, manage and transfer funds. The funds can be moved seamlessly, within the system, from one account to another by the customer or the program maanger. The system also enables an account to move funds from the outside to within system, or vice versa, via ACH, Wire and Check methods.

These functionalities of an account make it a powerful tool of the system from making and managing transactions securely, efficiently, and effectively.

Program managers can open passport accounts to handle two use cases –

To open Passport accounts owned by your business customers, where they have complete control over fund movement (collect - store - send). Create account with isCustomerOwned as TRUE. To open Passport accounts on behalf of a business customer, for program manager’s own benefit. Create account with isCustomerOwned as FALSE.
